Hey there!  Where are you from?

Born in Manhattan (New York, NY) , raised in Pittsburgh.

What do you do for a living?

I’m a Mechanical Engineer.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

A little more than 2 years.

Tell us about your athletic history…

I played soccer from when i was 5 to 15, but not very well.  I started skiing in middle school and really liked it, but I never did it competitively.

What brought you to CrossFit St. Clair?

I spent a year at another box, but they closed.  So i found my new home at CFSC.

What are you currently working on in the gym?

I think anyone can tell you the answer to this - the elusive muscle up.

Favorite food?

Macaroni and cheese!

We get it.  You like Mac & Cheese ;)

We get it.  You like Mac & Cheese ;)

Favorite movie?

That’s a tough question - I can’t name just one.

Favorite music to work out to?

Rock - era doesn’t matter.

When you aren’t working or working out, where can we find you?

In the summer I’m boating with my hubby, Brian.  Otherwise I’m sleeping.

How has CrossFit changed you?

It’s given me a lot of confidence.  But even more than that, it’s given me the perspective that how well I do is not dependent on anyone but me.  I used to be more competitive in all aspects of my life, but now it’s a lot easier to see that no matter how many people can do HSPUs, it won’t change my ability to do them.  So I put all my competitive energy into encouraging people to reach their goals and working on my own personal goals.  I’ve been able to apply this to work as well and it’s made me a better engineer.

What do you love most about CrossFit St. Clair?

Everyone is super friendly.  I like to drop in at boxes when I travel for work and I’ve gotten to see a variety of crossfit communities.  You’ll always feel welcome at CFSC.

What 3 words would people use to describe you?

Smart, awkward, absofsteel

Any mantra, favorite quote, or words to live by?

“It is not necessary to change.  Survival is not mandatory.” E. Edwards Deming
