Hello there friends it's that time of the week again!! Happy Friday, we hope you got off early and have babysitters lined up for the night because today is a very special occasion. Not only is it time to party, it's also time to celebrate another one of our standout specimens. She loves Pitt, her dog, dancing, drinking, her devilishly handsome husband Ron Bon Dermitt, and....oh yeah, CrossFit. She's a hard working lady who works just as hard in the gym and she has been a member since it was just one racquetball court (that's only 800 sq ft!) her name is Jo Dermitt and we'll let her take it from here....
1. Hey there! Where are you from?
Canonsburg. Born and raised.
2. What do you do for a living?
I'm a pharmacist by degree but I'm a pharmaceutical sales rep
3. How long have you been doing CrossFit?
2 and a half years
4. Tell us about your athletic history
…Athletic history? I don't know if I have that per se. I danced in high school (THE Canonettes). I've always tried to stay physically fit. I've been on my gym game all of my adult life. I've had stages of step aerobics, kick boxing, spinning, Pilates, and personal training. Most recently prior to CrossFit I was running. I've ran three full marathons and many many halves. I may have one more full in me.....we'll see.
5. What brought you to CrossFit St. Clair?
Well, you know the story-my Crossfit gym closed. I tried out a few boxes in the area. CFSC was pretty new and Josh won my heart! Being a part of the growth of this box from pretty early on has been so awesome.
6. What’s your favorite way to sweat?
Can I say it here? Well let's just say.....good lovin'.
7. Favorite food?
Wings and fries with all the crap, mac n' cheese and donuts with multicolored sprinkles.
8. Favorite movie?
Hangover 1 and 2, Gladiator, and Remember the Titans
9. Favorite book?
The Kite Runner and Memoirs of a Geisha
10. Favorite music to work out to? Upbeat, dance party mixes...

11. When you aren’t working or working out, where can we find you?
1) Being social and having draanks with people I love. 2) Watching The Game Show Network with my Mom. 3) Napping with my pug
12. How has CrossFit changed you?
Oh man. Where do I begin? It humbled me for sure. I thought I was well rounded athletically. Then I came to find I was inflexible, I had horrible lifting technique, I had no upper body strength, and I will never be as fast or as resilient as these beautiful young ladies ever again. They are better at working out. I gracefully concede. I've become stronger and more of a risk taker- both in and out of the gym. I've learned to run my own race. I push through things that are sooo hard and I don't worry about what Wodify says as a result.
13. What do you love most about CrossFit St. Clair?
My gosh do I love these people. No doubt. I can be whoever I need to be when I walk in that door. My guard is down, I'm done pretending in here. Yet, these people will push me, support me, and love me all the same. It gets painful and raw at times but we get through it together. We do competitions to make each other proud. We tackle life as a group. I love us!
